The Trade Marketing Team
The Delacre Trade Marketing Department is a focused and dedicated team with the ambition to be seen as a credible expert of the category and the shopper by our customers and a source of competitive advantage by our business.
Competitive advantage for Delacre Trade Marketing Team comes from deeply understanding consumers, customers, competitors and shoppers; and objectively translating this into simple insight-based category and commercial propositions that differentiate the customer and unlock incremental volume and value for the biscuits category and Delacre.
The purpose of the team is also to develop a promotional strategy and to execute it successfully.
About the Role
If you join this dedicated team, your tasks will include:
Commercial Market and Channel Planning
- Support the development and implementation of the FBC International strategy across key European markets by helping to prioritize business opportunities based on in-depth market research on products, markets, customers and competition.
- Participate/manage the creation of the right product portfolio, support programs, - and medium & long-term Sales Plan across markets, meeting the customer’s needs for new business, but also with the existing customers by taking into consideration cultural variances and legal issues pertaining to sales.
- Contribute to the preparation and input of the yearly budget.
- Be the puzzle piece between sales and marketing department to ensure the efficiency of our initiatives for the branded business and create synergies across markets.
Trade Analysis and Category Argumentation
- Work closely with Sales teams in executing the Brand Plan in Trade channels by providing relevant support and guidance to the Sales Team by analyzing the market and customer performances.
- Be a strong partner to Sales by analyzing Category and shopper data to develop sharp sales argumentation for business review and customer presentations.
- At times participate in key customer meetings to share the Category Perspective and insights.
In-store and Trade activity development and execution
- Support and execute the promotional strategy in cooperation with Sales and local partners in key markets (displays composition & creation; POS-material development, animations, argumentation support).
- Analyze the activities and take the conclusions into action plan.
- Ensure updated and relevant product and brand material to the International Stream such as product catalogues, online tools and specific customer requests and projects.
- Organize & attend relevant trade shows, exhibitions and events.
- Manage the daily operational and administrative tasks and be in permanent contact with internal stakeholders to create the best end-to-end sales process (production, logistics, finance, legal, marketing, new product development)
- Ad hoc trade marketing support for the other streams
Your profile
- Master with preference in Economics/Marketing/Business Management or related
- Around 5-10 years of successful FMCG experience in Sales or Trade Marketing
- Experience with the retailers in the food sector
- Experience in working with Shopper data such as Yougov, Nielsen, IRI, GFK.
- Experience in in-store activities and POSM material management is beneficial
- Good presentation & communication skills (internally and externally)
- Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English. French or Dutch language skills will be a plus
