About the Role

As an Operational Biscuit Technologist, you will play a central role in our production plant(s), industrialization of our new product and quality assurance efforts. You will work closely with the Production, the Development team, and the Quality department to ensure that both existing and new products meet our high standards. This is a hands-on and experimental role where you will test recipes, optimize processes, look for cost opportunities and document results.
The position is primarily during daytime hours, but since we operate around the clock and work on various projects, flexibility regarding tasks and working hours is required. Support in Ribe may be needed during peak periods.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day technological support to the Production. 
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities for improvements. Improvements can be of different types: stabilization, reliability, cost savings, quality complaints linked to ingredients and more
  • Become the reference when the Business wants to implement a new product or a new supplier in the factories. Ensure proper handover to operations and allocation of trial costs when launching new products and tests.
  • Comply with current food safety and hygiene standards
  • Provide support related to recipes in our systems
  • Document follow-up on weight distribution and quality
  • Conduct test baking in the test bakery and/or production environment
  • Evaluate and document baking properties, taste, texture, and appearance
  • Collaborate with product developers on new recipes and improvements
  • Test raw materials and ingredients with a focus on functionality and quality
  • Participate in sensory tests and quality assessments
  • Prepare reports and documentation of test results
  • Provide support related to recipes in our systems

 

Who we are looking for

  • Trained baker, preferably with experience from industrial bakeries. A degree in process technology is a plus
  • Practical experience with Product Development
  • In-depth knowledge of raw materials, ingredients, and their functionality
  • Structured and quality-conscious approach to work
  • Strong collaboration skills and a desire to work in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with documentation and reporting (required)
  • Proficient in Danish and English, both written and spoken
  • Basic IT-skills
