About the Role

The role of the FBC S&OP Planning Manager is to lead and develop the Sales & Operation Planning process & team to deliver best-in-class customer service, to manage overall integrated supply chain costs -while perfecting asset utilization-, and to optimise inventory holding & freshness. This across FBC’s value chain, as well in relation with FBC’s Group ecosystem business partners.

The FBC S&OP Planning Manager will drive short, medium and long term supply & demand alignment, support delivery of the most optimal business plan as well as ensure the successful S&OP implementation for Innovation and Transformational Programs.

The FBC S&OP Planning Manager will drive the S&OP process to achieve a high level of visibility & alignment across Senior Leadership teams delivering excellent execution and effectiveness throughout the organization, stepping up into Integrated Business Planning.

Main Responsibilities

S&OP Management

  • Responsible to manage the Demand Planning process and accountable for Supply Planning of FBC factories optimizing line utilization (seasonality, promo volatility, innovation, brand & premium private label development, intrasite & intersite capacity management)
  • Ensures delivery of the most accurate and timely delivery of the operational business plan on short, medium and long term horizons
  • Resolves demand & supply reconciliation issues with S&OP-Board
  • Leads development and implementation of Supply Chain Information / Technology Systems for the End-to-End planning process
  • Leads the S&OP activities related to the company-wide strategy development and implementation.
  • Ensure weekly, periodic, quarterly reforecast and budget demand planning process ( including trend & seasonality analysis and integration of market intelligence ) and supply planning process ( including season’s planning and determining chase / level planning strategies) ensuring demand forecast & supply capabilities are aligned, reflect market movement and meet customer expectation
  • Manage projected inventories allowing to communicate product availability and to plan logistics and distribution capacities. Ensure Material Requirements Planning allowing Procurement to optimize purchasing strategies
  • Lay-out inventory planning in line with evolving customer service requirements and inventory reduction policy, keeping focus on end-to-end optimized supply chain planning
  • Liaise with the strategic planning controller to identify long-term capacity constraints and solutions
  • Ensure S&OP-processes encompass best practice

People Management & Communication

  • Motivate and develop a team of Demand & Supply Planners & Planning Managers to achieve key objectives
  • Manage Demand & Supply Planning team in their decision-making processes, develop their competencies and personal development plans
  • Animate cross-functionally all key activities and reviews of FBC S&OP cycle and process incl. Guide the S&OP board in its decision-making process
  • To recruit high caliber Demand & Supply Planners to guarantee the overall strength of the team, with an ethos of continually raising the caliber
  • Develop a talent & succession plan to create and sustain FBC’s Planning Centre of Excellence approach and ambition

Continuous improvement

  • Drive optimum use of planning and reporting tools, as well as system enhancements whilst removing non-value adding tasks. Profound the use, knowledge and effectiveness&efficiency benefits of Advanced Planning & Scheduling systems, as well as Demand&Supply Planning Reporting tools (incl. KPI’s )
  • Contributing to company-wide and supply chain strategy development projects and implementation
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives to increase forecast accuracy and reduce safety, cycling and strategic stocks. Identify risks of obsolescence and ensure focus and action on structural initiatives to avoid obsolescence
  • Report S&OP KPI’s and develop issue resolution to projected service or inventory holding risks across FBC and in co-operation with the wider Group eco-system of Sales&Distribution Partners, as well as Group Co-manufacturing customers
  • Contribute to the wider Procurement&Supply Chain strategy development and implementation, as well as to cross-functional and companywide projects conveying FBC’s S&OP strategy

 

Who we are looking for

  • Master Degree in Supply Chain and/or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant Supply Chain Business experience in FMCG packed goods food
  • Minimum of 10 years S&OP & Supply Chain Planning experience in international multi-country and multi-factory food environment
  • Mindset to drive performance and create a high performing team developing and engaging team members
