About the Role
We are looking for a strong profile to join our procurement team. You will report to the Procurement Manager in Brussels, where you will also have your primary work location. The procurement team is partly located in Brussels (Belgium) and partly in Norre Snede (Denmark). We are working cross-organizational, so you will be working with a broad network of co-workers and suppliers.
As Strategic Buyer within Biscuits Delacre you are responsible for the tactical execution of procurement activities related to ingredients and packaging materials on behalf of the Belgian/French entity. You operate within the FBC Group procurement guidelines that are set by the Group’s category managers and you implement the Group's Category Manager's long term sourcing strategy. You ensure that the suppliers' deliveries meet contractual obligations in terms of quantity, timing and quality, in alignment with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and On Time in Full (OTIF) standards. You act as the key operational link between suppliers, internal stakeholders and the broader procurement community.
Your day-to-day tasks will be a mix of all-round operational and tactical procurement and long-term projects. Specifically, you:
- contribute to the strategic sourcing, ensure budget management and negotiation for ingredients and packaging to ensure a continuity of supply. You ensure budget management and negotiation, contract management and supplier management. You enable innovation and strengthen the CSR agenda
- implement strategic procurement initiatives looking at total cost of ownership and added value
- work in close collaboration with Delacre supply planning, operations, NPD (New Product Development), manufacturing, logistics teams and the FBC Category Managers
- drive operational procurement excellence
Your scope is ingredients (flour, chocolate, sugar,…) for 40 mio€; packaging (tins, trays, carton,…) for 15 mio€ for 2 factories (Lambermont, Nieppe) manufacturing mainly Delacre & Delichoc biscuits
Main Responsibilities
The primary tasks are:
- Day-to-day contact with suppliers for directs (ingredients and packaging)
- Ensure deliveries align with MRP and OTIF standards
- Manage volume contracts compared to forecasts and actual consumption
- Manage quality compliance per SLA or (frame) contract and supplier relationship management
- Centralize orders for plants
- Set up contracts and organize quarterly reviews
- Prepare tender material, support and complete RFQs and negotiate local supplier terms
- Project management, cost reductions, downgauging and CSR certifications
- Scout and implement new suppliers and packaging including test runs, registration in ERP and alignment with buyers, production and others
- Support to the quality department in connection with complaints
- Improve new IT-tools such as SAP and BI

- Good cooperation and communication skills are essential since you will be working across departments and on all organisational levels – internally as well as externally.
- You can work independently; you are flexible and stress resistant and you can adapt quickly if required.
- You like to work with process development and implementation of new tools.
Who we are looking for - Professional skills
- Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related field
- Min. 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and procurement KPIs (e.g. OTIF, MRP compliance)
- Fluent in English and French. Dutch is a plus
