About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Technical Assistant to join our Dorset bakery. As the Technical Assistant, you will assist with the maintenance and management of the Food Safety Quality Management System and maintain customer Quality & Food Safety requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Administer complaints when received direct from customers.
• Administer complaint investigations to the relevant QA and Operations Shift Manager and keep track of progress.
• Create weekly/monthly/quarterly complaint reports as required.
• Collection and preparation of samples (finished products and environmental swabs) for analysis in line with testing schedules.
• Administer the sites positive release system.
• Prepare internal and external customer KPI reports as required.
• Prepare and distribute bakery specifications as required.
• Update QAS documents as required by site procedures.
• General upkeep of department stock levels.

Who we are looking for

• HACCP level 2
• Food Safety Level 2
• Internal Auditor qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in an administrative role ideally within a Food Manufacturing environment.
• Experience in managing data and producing reports.
